I want to relate to you a true story.

One night I noticed my sinues were draining into my throat. The next morning I awoke and during the day my condition persisted until I was forced to lie down. I didn't realize it but I was about to experience the closest I have ever come to death before. My condition was a strange one that went up and down. I would think that I was getting better but I would only get worse.

I had to go to the doctor so many times that I lost count. I lost count of the number of prescriptions I had also. I had a couple of medicines that I was given that gave me allergic reactions. So, that just made my condition worse. I had three blood tests and two shots. At one point I was so dehydrated I had to be given four bags of I.V. fluids. I had terrible diarreah. This went on for about 35-40 days and being only 22 I sat there wondering was this my time to go. To make matters worse they never found out what caused my illness--something of a mystery.

Now I want to relate the other part of the story. While I was laying there sick, possibly dying, a great effort of prayer was made on my behalf. People from different churches and different denominations all rallied together to our Lord Jesus Christ and pleaded for God to have mercy on me. My friend who is the pastor of a local church also came and anointed me with oil in the name of Jesus. Now I am 100% healed and I have Jesus to thank for it. But if it had not been for my having given my life to Jesus then the story would have went in such a different direction. If I had not been a Christian then I would not have had all those people praying for me--I wouldn't even have known them. If I had not been a Christian then God would not have listened to me no matter how much I cried out to Him to heal me. If I had not been a Christian then I would have probably died.

My friend, what I am trying to say is that if you have not given your life to Jesus by confessing your sins and turning from a sinful lifestyle to one of holiness in the Christian walk, then why not? What is holding you back?

Many people never take the time to reflect over their relationship with God and I don't understand this because it is so important. Your condition in the next life is totally dependent upon you maintaining a spiritual relationship with God. So please give it the attention that it needs.

God is real and he saved my life--spiritually and physically. Why not let him come into your life and experience the benefits that he has waiting for you.
